Andrews & Robertson’s fifth sale of 2011

Posted by

Welcome to Andrews & Robertson?s July 2011 catalogue bringing 145 commercial and residential properties to the market and a rich variety of vacant as well as investment stock and recession-proof ground rents at realistic prices.

As summer approaches with frightening speed, it gives us great pleasure to report that despite the fluctuations of 2011’s wider property market A &R have transacted more than ?54m worth of property sales at auction on behalf of our clients so far this year- a result demonstrating at a stroke the enduring appeal of property ownership at a time of wider economic uncertainty.

Buyers experienced or new to the market are flocking to our sales at London’s Grand Connaught Rooms choosing to steer the course of their own fiscal fortune rather than invest in traditional pension schemes, and who can argue with that?

But while auctions are a barometer of investor sentiment offering the market an immediate snapshot of value on the day, it is also true that stock selection remains highly influential on success rates saying almost as much about a catalogue as the market itself. Our June sale saw 75% of the catalogue sell and demand was keen for high yielding secondary stock and ground rents, as well as housing association and local authority stock offering the potential to add value.

At A&R we offer prospective buyers a diverse range of property type and location. So our July auction will once again include lots on behalf of: Affinity Sutton, Grainger Trust plc, Mountview Estates plc and The Treasury Solicitor. LPA receivers, Liquidators, Local Authorities including: Lambeth, Merton, Richmond and Southwark, and of course private individuals.
