We have assisted clients over the past 35 years who go through the process of enfranchisement. The outcome is desirable for flat owners to own their Freehold but it does provide a responsibility most owners know little about.

Holding ultimate control of their building, many people are not prepared for bureaucracy and work involved to make it happen successfully. The process is quite involved and complicated and will have financial and practical implications but for those committed to the process, the task to manage a block of flats is worthwhile.

Problems start when matters are not equally shared amongst the owners and when working full time, simple tasks can become a chore. Passing this over to a company able and willing to undertake the donkey work is not inexpensive but it will take away the burden, enabling the future investment of your home to be reviewed on an annual basis.
